Bob Sr. is the Dean around VISO --- He purchased the company consisting of 6 employees in 1979.  In 1995 the Dahlkes assumed full control of VISOgraphic

Fun facts:

  • Bob Sr. was a Nuclear missile officer in the 1960’s after completing ARMY ROTC training at the University of Notre Dame.
  • After completing his tour with the Army, he joined General Electric in their financial training program & then transferred to their new Computer Division as an analyst.
  • Moving to Chicago in 1973, he joined G D Searle (a Fortune 200 major Pharmaceutical Company) as Director of Computer Systems encompassing Research, Manufacturing, & Accounting systems.
  • He purchased VISOgraphic in 1979 and wrote VISO’s original computer system from scratch after building computers from kits. 20 years later, these programs were retired when we purchased a state of the art ERP system.
  • When he’s not at work, his 16 grandkids keep him very, very busy
