How do I properly save and send my art files?

How do I set up my art files to be print ready?

• Bleed should be .125” all the way around
• CMYK or grey scale images (not RGB)
• Images should be 300 resolution at final size
• PDF’s should be provided in single pages, not spreads (.125 bleed around)
• When in an adobe program (such as InDesign), the document size should be set to the final trim size

What is the delivery time for Marketing Mail (Standard)?

Delivery of Marketing Mail can take one to four weeks if a national mailing, and three to twelve days if a local mailing. If the mailing is large enough, delivery can be enhanced by using drop shipments to national processing plants.

What is the delivery time for First Class Mail?

First class mail typical makes it to the addressee within two to four days.

Which is delivered faster: Marketing Mail or Non-Profit?

Non-Profit mail is handled the same as Marketing Mail so there would be no difference.

How many pieces of mail does a mailing have to have to get postage discounts?

For First Class, a mailing needs 500 or more pieces to qualify for automated discounts. If Marketing Mail you must have at least 200 pieces.

What size does my Mailpiece need to be to qualify for an Every Door Direct Mailing (EDDM)?

EDDM mail pieces must qualify as Flat Size mail pieces. The EDDM mail piece must exceed one or more of a Letter Size maximum dimensions which are 11-1/2” x 6-1/8 high x ¼” thick. A 9” x 6-1/2“ card would qualify as would a 6” x 11-3/4” piece.
